Introducing the Random Daily Picture!
Check the blog daily (not just these emails, but the actual blog!) to see the Random Daily Picture. Each day I will upload a random picture of the kids...the family...the wallpaper...work...home...you name it! It's purely random!
Check out what's already been uploaded this week, and keep checking back regularly to see what's new.

Emily Turns 4!
Emily has had a FANTASTIC 4th Birthday!
We celebrated on Wednesday, September 14th (her actual birthday) with Grandma Kris, Papa, Auntie Lisa, Grandma Lauri, and Grandpa John all via Skype. They were able to celebrate with us and watched her blow out her candles, as well as open her gifts. It was a fun night! Emily got so many gifts sent up from the family back in California...toys...books...clothes...she was in Heaven!
And earlier in the day, I actually visited her classroom and made balloon animals for the kids so that everyone could celebrate Emily's birthday...(they no longer allow cupcakes to celebrate birthdays at school.)
Here are some pictures from all of the festivities:

Medical Visit to Anchorage
Wednesday and Thursday Emily and I went off to Anchorage. The main reason for our visit was to see a urological specialist. Emily has gotten a number of UTIs and she's been through a slew of tests and doctor visits...the next step was for her to see a specialist.
We made the most of our visit to Big City! And, it wthe as all about Emily! We went to Chuck E Cheese, we went to the Zoo, I bought her some super cool shoes. that light up with rainbows...totally up her alley!!
We also did a lot of driving around, because mommy just doesn't know her way around Anchorage very well and we did a lot of circling the city.
The airport was a lot of fun. We initially landed in Anchorage and I immediately saw a Trunkie for sale at the airport Brookstone shop. I saw a little girl with one of these during our last voyage in February, and thought it was the coolest thing! I had to buy one for Emily the minute I saw it! And, I'd totally like to get one of these for Ethan as soon as I can!
She rode all throughout the airport on her Trunkie. Those long corridors we're so bad when she was riding on her Trunkie. And when she was tired I got to pull her. And, for those long layovers, Emily would simply open up her Trunkie and take out her toys and games to keep her busy. INVENTION OF THE YEAR!!

In the end, our doctor visit went well and they don't have any real concerns with Emily's continual UTIs. They are hoping she will grow out of it, and gave us some medicine to have on hand when symptoms occur. He said we should go back when the symptoms worsen. I'm just hoping she'll grow out of it!

Kodiak Rodeo & State Fair
This weekend marked our very last Kodiak Rodeo & State Fair.
(we're transferring next summer)
Emily and I went out to enjoy the Fair, and we had a blast! The rain had stopped, but it was still a little windy and cold outside. She wore her rain boots and had a blast splashing in all the puddles!
Emily got to go on a pony ride, which she really enjoyed! She was excited to see, pet and ride around on the horses. The most exciting thing to do at the Fair! (She's going to hit daddy up to buy her a horse when he gets home...Chris, you better watch out!)
We also sat and watched an enjoying performance by Bear Becker and Tim Snodgrass, while we ate hot dogs and hamburgers. It was freezing outside, but the music was nice!
