This is what a nice day in Kodiak looks like. "Nice Days" are so few and far between out here, that when you actually get to witness a "Nice Day" it is WORTH recording! This is a drive from Bell's Flats to the Kodiak airport. Enjoy!

Tee Ball All Star

We got home this evening and the sun was still out with clear skies. So, we all went outside for 20-30 minutes and taught the kids how to swing a bat. What fun! And, a right of passage!

Emily will be a tee ball all star! She is a true athlete.

Ethan...well...he's a little young still...and was more interested in throwing rocks.

Getting Back into the Groove

As you may notice we have a new look-and-feel to our blog. I figured that I'd come out of my dry-spell with a BANG! Yes, its been FAR TOO LONG since my last post, so I'm going to catch you all up the best I can...and not in any particular order.

Outdoor Entertainment

We searched for over six months to get these kids a swing set/play yard, however the logistics of shipping a large swing set to Kodiak, AK proved to be more challenging then anticipated.

So, one day we were in our local Walmart store and they just got a shipment of 6 trampolines in stock. Chris really didn't want a trampoline, but considering the 6 months of swing set logistics, he we were willing to compromise for a trampoline. That very next day I spent my lunch break at Walmart buying our kids a trampoline!!

(You need to act quick on these types of purchases. once they're gone...they're gone! And they don't get anymore...ever!!)

Our once-swampy backyard is finally taking shape with a landscaped pathway, grass seeds, and a soon-to-be backyard fire pit. The kids are having a BLAST and it is fun to see them enjoying the outdoors! (when it's not raining...which is only, like, 11 days per year. LOL)

They LOVE their new "bouncy" and we spend as much time as we can out there...when it's not raining!

Hello our Loyal Friends and Family Members!

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know that we're still alive. We've had an exciting few months and I've got some great pictures! The kids are getting bigger, and I am excited to share their moments with you all!
